Position Summary This position will assist the marketing department with performing a wide range of duties to promote Wurtec products and services through creativity and strategic intelligence.
Essential Duties
Promotes and demonstrates Wurtec’s core values (dedicated, hardworking, ambitious, willing to accept responsibility, and integrity).
Gains a firm understanding of the vertical transportation industry, Wurtec product offerings, and customer needs.
Uses relevant information to develop Wurtec’s marketing plan in conjunction with the Marketing Lead.
Improves the effectiveness of the Wurtec website with a focus on search engine optimization, user experience, and relevant content.
Leads the launch of new products released by the Wurtec Engineering department to customers and increases new product awareness within Wurtec Sales team.
Create Wurtec social media presence utilizing industry-relevant content.
Plan events and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements; establishing important contacts; and developing schedules and assignments.
Implements marketing campaigns by assembling and analyzing sales and customer data and determining appropriate marketing channel and medium.
Support sales team efforts by providing sales data, market trends, account analyses, and new product information.
Keep promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements with vendors; inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
Work with vendor‑partners to ensure effectiveness of the website, promotional items, and other marketing‑related materials.
Monitors the marketing budget and works within established boundaries.

Technical Skills
Strong understanding of basic marketing principles and digital marketing techniques.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), especially Excel.
Basic social media proficiency.
Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) is a plus.
Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact) is a plus.
Basic graphic design skills and experience with design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
Knowledge of marketing principles.
Ability to learn other software products as needed.
Behavioral Skills
Detail oriented, flexible, and exhibit effective prioritization and multi‑tasking skills in a fast‑paced environment.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
Works effectively both independently and as a team.

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in a marketing role.
Work Environment This role primarily operates in an office environment. This position requires occasionally lifting up to 75 lbs, regularly sitting and standing for long periods of time, and occasionally crawling. Near visual acuity, and the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech.
