Job Summary:
Club Demonstration Services (CDS) seeks an Event Manager responsible for recruiting, hiring, and supervising in‑store Product Demonstrators. You will oversee product preparation and presentation, training, and provide excellent service to Club members. The role requires strong communication with warehouse managers, vendors, and Product Demonstrators and participation in new location grand openings.

Responsibilities:
Recruit, train, and hire part‑time staff.
Oversee product preparation and presentation, including food safety and sanitation.
Train Product Demonstrators in demonstration preparation and excellent customer service.
Communicate between multiple managers, vendors, and demonstrators.
Participate in new location grand openings as required.
Direct all activities engaged in successful events, promotion, and sales of vendor products.
Communicate strategies and tactics to achieve sales, service and operational excellence.
Support maintenance and ongoing development of corporate governance framework, policies and procedures.
Collaborate with District Manager to evaluate event performance metrics and make adjustments as necessary.
Achieve defined revenue and net income objectives through sales activation, strategy and expense management.
Optimize customer satisfaction/loyalty through improved operations.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
2–4 years of related experience in retail, hospitality, or food environments (including part‑time workforce).
Detail‑oriented with excellent leadership and communication skills.
Proven ability to lead high‑performing teams.
Ability to exercise independent judgment.
Able to coach and counsel employees, taking correct measures as needed.
Flexibility and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
Professional food safety certification required.
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, web browsers).
Conflict management skills.
Must work flexible hours and schedule, including weekends.
Education and Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
2–4 years of related experience performing similar duties in a retail, hospitality, or food environment with a part‑time workforce.
Technical and Soft Skills:
Work independently and prioritize with minimal supervision to meet deadlines.
Supervising skills: delegating responsibility, training, evaluating performance.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Flexible and adaptable to changing projects or business environment.
Track record of building and maintaining customer/client relationships.
Ability to direct, lead, and develop people.
Professional food safety certification required.
Well organized, detail oriented, and able to handle fast‑paced work.
Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain high levels of service and quality.
Environmental & Physical Requirements:
Work may be performed in an office, field, retail store, or warehouse environment. Incumbent must spend a majority of work time in physical activity, lifting or pushing up to 10 kg, standing for long periods, and may be required to work in extremely cold conditions (e.g., refrigerated and freezer sections). Proper safety practices when handling products and/or cooking are essential.
