
Assistant Director

Mid Island Day Camp is seeking dynamic and enthusiastic Assistant Director to help lead Long Island’s largest Jewish Day Camp by supporting all aspects of camp, including enrollment, retention, and recruitment, staff hiring and supervision, program planning and implementation. In addition, the Assistant Director will be responsible for engaging with the Mid Island Y JCC community during the year helping to create and implement family and youth programs at our Plainview location when camp is not in session. This position is an in person role all year round as we do not currently offer a remote work option. The ideal candidate bring enthusiasm, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and at least 5–8 years of experience in camp leadership or youth development with a demonstrated ability to contribute to high-quality programs and positive outcomes. Working closely with the Camp Director and leadership team, the Assistant Director will play essential roles in fostering camp spirit, ensuring smooth operations, and help deliver an exceptional summer experience for the entire Mid Island Day Camp community.
Compensation
$60,000-$70,000 Requirements
