
Transformer Repairer

We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Transformer Repairer in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. This position is represented by (L2150) and is a first shift role.
Job Responsibilities REPOST DUE TO 90 DAY TIME FRAME. PREVIOUS APPLICANTS NEED NOT REAPPLY.
Repair and modify, to existing specification, energized and de‑energized equipment used in the overhead and underground electrical distribution systems, while being readily available to respond to 24‑hour callout.
Perform other special and miscellaneous duties including the testing, processing, and storage of oil.
Prepare bucket liners for use, testing and transport.
Repair other equipment including but not limited to regulators, capacitor banks, vacuum switches, oil switches, switch fuse units, and VFI’s.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicant must have a minimum of five years welding experience in the industrial trades or, in lieu of the welding experience, must have completed a formal certification program at an accredited trade school.
Applicant must have a valid driver's license and meet the company's requirements for driving.
Testing Requirements Construction and Skilled Trades (CAST)-Electrician level:
Comprehension of pictured mechanical principles such as gears, levers, pulley systems, water flow, etc.; arithmetic skills in calculating distances shown in prints and drawings; and the ability to read and understand written material.
TRANSFREP (Transformer Repairer Structured Interview) -
Competencies include Safety Awareness, Managing Work (Includes Time Management), Decision making, Work Standards, Engagement Readiness, and Communication.
Pay Range: $27.16 - $45.34
