The IBM Storage Solutions Team is dedicated to engaging with strategic ISV and OEM partners to enhance the IBM Storage strategy, extend our solution offerings, and foster collaborative go-to-market strategies. The team's mission includes:
Working closely with product managers, engineers, marketers, and sellers across the IBM Storage brand and our global technology partners.
Leading strategic client engagements with deep solutions engineering expertise.
Designing and managing a premier ISV program that aligns strategically with our goals.

Your Role and Responsibilities The ISV Partnerships Engineer is an exciting entry-level role on the IBM Storage Solutions team, focused on growing our ISV portfolio with an emphasis on Fusion AI. This position involves hands‑on support for evaluating, onboarding, and empowering Independent Software Vendors whose offerings align with our Fusion AI compute and storage strategy. Key responsibilities include:
Gathering ISV product and technical details, conducting product fit assessments.
Executing hands‑on validation and integration in lab environments.
Creating deployment guides, reference white papers, and enablement assets for sales and customers.
Collaborating closely with product management, engineering, and marketing on these initiatives.
This role is ideally suited for early‑career candidates eager to learn the fundamentals of ISV alliances, sales enablement, and technical alliance operations while directly contributing to the IBM Storage ISV program.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise We seek candidates who exhibit:
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, enabling support for multiple parallel ISV workstreams.
A curiosity and eagerness to learn about enterprise technology concepts, including storage platforms, public and hybrid cloud, distributed systems, and AI/ML.
A capability to assist in technical product fit analysis through compiling ISV requirements and summarizing compatibility.
Experience with Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes.
Proficient technical writing skills for creating documents such as whitepapers and sales materials.
Hands‑on experience with ISV validation and integration tasks including environment setup, testing coordination, and asset creation.
Proficiency in maintaining program materials such as reports, trackers, and partner readiness documentation.
A comfort level in collaborative environments with cross‑functional teams including product management, engineering, marketing, and sales.
A high degree of accountability, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to grow within the technology partnership and operations landscape.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience Candidates with the following experiences will stand out:
Exposure to technical partnerships, program development, or technical project coordination.
Familiarity with enterprise storage, cloud platforms, containerization, or AI/ML concepts.
Experience in software testing, interoperability checks, or solution validation.
