Mayvin is seeking a
Technical Writer I
to support the United States Marshals Service (USMS) Training Division at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Brunswick, GA or at USMS HQ in Arlington, VA 22202. The Technical Writer will create clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation supporting all required taskings requested by Training Division management.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must undergo a Background Investigation (BI)
Responsibilities
Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and ensure documentation accuracy and build relationships with internal employees and outside sources
Ability to develop organizational strategies to formulate an implementation plan
Must possess analytical thinking and problem-solving skills and be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Write and edit user-friendly content for various types of documentation, including user guides, manuals, tutorials, and providing weekly/monthly status reports
Organize and maintain a centralized repository of all documentation and update, as needed, to reflect product changes and enhancements
Editing/proofing policy directives and the strategic plan for grammatical and formatting errors and content inconsistencies
Gathering information from various sources, providing data analysis and recommending process improvements
Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to change
