About Us Fox River Church is a conservative, evangelical, Bible-based, pro-life, and pro-family congregation with a rich heritage dating back to 1839. Fox River Church is a member of the Association of Free Lutheran Congregations (AFLC). Located in the heart of Illinois, our vibrant and growing congregation of 300+ worshipers gather weekly—many traveling from 20–30 different zip codes, drawn by a deep hunger for the Word of God. We are a Bible‑believing, Spirit‑led church passionate about evangelism, discipleship, and building up the Body of Christ.
Position Overview We are seeking a full-time Youth Director who is passionate about reaching and discipling youth for Jesus Christ. The ideal candidate will have a clear plan and vision for building a thriving youth ministry rooted in Scripture and focused on helping youth grow in a personal relationship with Jesus.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and lead a Christ-centered youth program for middle and high school students
Teach and mentor youth through weekly gatherings, Bible studies, and special events
Build relationships with students, their families, and volunteers
Organize outreach opportunities, retreats, and mission projects
Collaborate with pastoral staff and church leadership to align youth ministry with the overall mission of the church
Qualifications
A strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ
Preferred experience in youth ministry
A passion for Scripture and making disciples
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Basic technology, social media, and office software skills
Self-motivated with the ability to cast vision and follow through
