Multimedia Marketing and Design Coordinator

Supported by:

Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications

FLSA Status:

Exempt, Full-Time

Responsibilities Graphic Design and Multimedia Creation (35%)

Design visually engaging assets including social media graphics (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, TikTok), infographics, videos, print materials, and motion content for use across all visual media platforms.

Film, photograph, and edit videos and images to support digital storytelling across various channels.

Monitor emerging trends, platforms, and formats (e.g., TikTok, Reels, interactive content) and recommend new content strategies to enhance audience engagement.

Collaborate cross‑functionally with departments to fulfill graphic design needs and support broader organizational storytelling.

Digital Marketing Support (30%)

Manage the Food Bank’s social media presence by creating and publishing consistent, brand‑aligned content calendars that reflect organizational initiatives, events, and campaigns.

Engage with audiences on social platforms by responding to comments, mentions, tags, and messages to foster community and uphold brand reputation.

Develop and execute paid social campaigns within approved budgets, optimizing content and targeting audience for maximum reach and performance.

Cultivate a network of peer accounts for cross‑promotion and partnership opportunities, including takeovers, contests, and shared campaigns.

Strategic Marketing and Content Planning (15%)

Partner with others on the Marketing and Communications team to plan and execute comprehensive content strategies aligned with organizational goals and campaign initiatives.

Develop messaging frameworks and content outlines to guide multimedia creation and digital campaigns.

Track and report on digital engagement metrics to inform content decisions and future strategies.

Branding and Consistency (10%)

Create and update web content to maintain an accurate, engaging, and user‑friendly website.

Collaborate with vendors for technical updates, analytics, and SEO/SEM strategies.

Regularly audit and optimize website content to ensure alignment with current initiatives and user engagement best practices.

Ensure consistency in visual identity, tone, and messaging across all digital and print materials.

Serve as a brand ambassador, reviewing materials and assets to uphold branding guidelines.

Collaboration and Team Support (10%)

Work closely with internal departments (e.g., Development, Community Impact, Sourcing) to understand their communication needs and produce materials that meet them effectively and build trust with their audiences.

Demonstrates skills, knowledge and experience in the development and execution of social media, and digital media strategies and content.

Exhibits strong creative, strategic, analytical, and organizational skills.

Demonstrates job‑appropriate computer literacy in social media platforms, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite (experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, InDesign, and Dreamweaver preferred), Google Analytics, WordPress and/or HTML, and other general‑purpose tools (Acrobat, FTP, multiple Internet browsers, Hootsuite, etc.).

Ability to blend attractive design and high functionality in all projects.

Proficient at task management, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, be flexible, and meet deadlines with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to perform data analysis techniques.

Must be able to always maintain confidentiality.

Willingness to take advantage of professional learning opportunities that will increase knowledge and skill base.

Effective interpersonal and communication skills to be able to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Consistent organizational skills with a passion for thriving in a fast‑paced, multi‑tasking environment.

Your Story

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing, communications, graphic design, or related fields required.

Additional years of experience may substitute for education to provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Lived experience with the impacts of systemic racism or marginalization is a plus.
