Pleasanton ISD is seeking a passionate, energetic and dedicated Assistant Band Director to join our band program serving grades 6–12. We are a collaborative team looking for a woodwind specialist who is passionate about building and maintaining a culture of musical excellence. This position includes teaching responsibilities at the middle school and high school levels, with an emphasis on building strong fundamentals and developing students throughout the program. Responsibilities
Assist with all aspects of the 6–12 band program, including marching band, concert band, and UIL preparation Direct and conduct a Non-Varsity Concert Band at the HS or JH level Teach middle school band classes and support high school ensembles Assist with marching band rehearsals, sectionals, contests, and performances Collaborate closely with band staff, campus administration, and booster organization Qualifications
One year of student teaching or approved internship Valid Texas teaching certification Woodwind background preferred Strong knowledge of band pedagogy and rehearsal techniques CDL Must possess or be willing to obtain (Class B with P/S endorsements) Jazz experience preferred 2 years teaching experience preferred How to Apply
