Tampa Position Purpose
Advances UTampa Athletics through strategic fundraising, corporate sponsorship development, donor cultivation, and stewardship. Manages a portfolio of annual giving, mid-level, and emerging major gift prospects, supporting student‑athlete scholarships, program enhancements, capital projects, corporate partnerships, and team priorities. Fundraising – Major and Mid‑Level Gifts: Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward prospects in the $10,000‑$100,000 range. Conduct 8‑10 donor meetings per month. Assist in developing proposals, gift agreements, and solicitation strategies. Maintain knowledge of Athletics programs, scholarships, capital needs, and team priorities. Support UTampa Athletics' annual giving programs, including the Spartan Fund, team‑specific campaigns, Day of Giving initiatives, and digital giving strategies. Collaborate with coaches and the Athletic Director / Vice President of Athletics to coordinate team‑level fundraising efforts. Track and report annual giving results and donor engagement metrics. Assist with donor communications, social engagement, and game‑day initiatives. Maintain accurate and timely records in UTampa's fundraising CRM. Assist with Athletics donor events, including receptions, banquets, game‑day hospitality, and recognition programs. Serve as a liaison between DUR, Athletics leadership, and coaches. Provide donor concierge service and stewardship. Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate sponsorship and partnership opportunities in support of UTampa Athletics programs, events, and initiatives. Collaborate with Athletics leadership to align sponsorship opportunities with team needs, facilities, events, and branding priorities. Assist in the development of sponsorship proposals, agreements, and benefit fulfillment in coordination with DUR and Athletics. Maintain relationships with existing corporate partners and ensure timely stewardship, recognition, and reporting. Track sponsorship activity and revenue in UTampa's fundraising CRM. Participate in regular meetings with DUR leadership and Athletics leadership. Provide updates on fundraising progress, annual giving results, and donor engagement. Support strategic planning for Athletics advancement initiatives. Meet annual fundraising, annual giving, and corporate sponsorship goals. Maintain high-quality donor engagement and stewardship practices. Effectively manage donor portfolios and provide timely reporting. Demonstrate strong collaboration and communication with internal and external stakeholders. Uphold UTampa's commitment to best practices in fundraising. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. Minimum 2‑4 years of experience in fundraising, annual giving, athletic development, alumni relations, corporate sponsorship, or related fields; higher education or athletics experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational, analytical, and time‑management abilities. Ability to travel for donor engagement and athletic events. Willingness to work evenings and weekends. Experience with fundraising databases or CRM systems; Raiser's Edge preferred. Proficiency with UTampa systems such as Workday and Microsoft Office.
