School Director The Goddard School® is seeking an experienced and passionate School Director to lead our locations in Alexandria and Kingstowne, VA. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader who is committed to high-quality early childhood education and team development.
As School Director, you will oversee daily operations, support and develop staff, ensure compliance with licensing and brand standards, and create a nurturing, engaging environment for children and families.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily school operations, ensuring compliance with licensing and company standards
Hire, train, coach, and retain high-quality teaching staff
Lead implementation of the Wonder of Learning® curriculum
Build strong relationships with families and the local community
Manage enrollment, scheduling, and school budget
Ensure a safe, clean, and organized learning environment
Foster a positive, collaborative school culture
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or related field
Minimum 3 years of classroom experience in early childhood education
At least 1 year of leadership or management experience
Strong understanding of child development and early learning best practices
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Passion for working with children and supporting educators
Must meet all state licensing requirements and pass background checks
