Job Description
Family Farm and Home is a family owned and operated company based in Michigan that opened its first stores in April 2002. We currently operate 71 retail locations across Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Maryland and Pennsylvania, offering a large variety of products including tools, hardware, automotive, pet supplies, clothing, footwear, farm supplies, horse and livestock feed, bird food, lawn and garden items, and alternative heating solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Promote the Family Farm and Home mission and family values to customers.
Execute daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management.
Receive communication and tasks from corporate office and store management via Farm Hand.
Greet customers and interact with them in a pleasant and positive manner.
Solicit customers to sign up for Family Farm and Home programs, including loyalty, extended warranties, add‑on initiatives, financing and item of the month.
Answer phone calls professionally and assist customers in store, online, and with special orders.
Check out customers using POS and follow all cash‑handling procedures.
Use On the Go to complete POGs and mass layouts per store layout.
Use Harvester to complete online customer orders.
Support and promote financing options and assist with current financing websites.
Assist in setting promotional signage, price changes, clearance prices and other in‑store signage directed by management.
Assist with freight, recovery and out‑of‑stock processes.
Achieve passing scores on corporate store audits, assessments and store walks.
Maintain awareness of in‑store safety issues and shoplifting activities and communicate potential issues to management.
Uphold company loss‑prevention measures.
Operate forklift and/or pallet jack safely (eligible only for employees 18+).
Assist in building and assembling store displays, products and fixtures.
Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, receiving, cash office and register area, restrooms and break room.
Uphold merchandising, store cleanliness and safety standards.
Complete the daily operational standards checklist.
Contribute to a positive working environment for all team members.
Perform additional duties as assigned by store management or company officials.
Team Member Requirements Team members must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays. Successful team members are committed to excellent service and customer satisfaction; they can communicate clearly and effectively, are organized, detail‑oriented, and able to multitask. Basic computer skills are required. Team members must be able to stand for extended periods, reach, bend, twist, kneel and lift up to 50 lbs. All applicants must be at least 18 years old.
