About Us The Junior League of Boca Raton (JLBR) is a nonprofit organization committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Our initiatives support local nonprofits, provide essential resources, and drive meaningful change in Boca Raton.

We are seeking a Director of Community Outreach to lead community outreach efforts, identify new community partners, educate the public on JLBR's available resources, and support fundraising efforts, particularly Woman Volunteer of the Year (WVOY), our signature fundraising event.

Position Overview The Director of Community Outreach will be responsible for raising awareness about the Junior League of Boca Raton's impact, strengthening partnerships with local organizations, and ensuring the community fully utilizes JLBR's resources. This role will also play a critical part in fundraising, with a focus on assisting the WVOY committee with event logistics, securing sponsorships and donor support.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategies to educate the public about JLBR's programs, initiatives, and available resources.

Serve as a liaison between JLBR and local nonprofits, community groups, and stakeholders.

Organize and lead informational sessions, workshops, and community engagement events to promote JLBR's impact.

Develop marketing and communication materials that clearly outline JLBR's resources for the community.

Represent JLBR at local networking events, speaking engagements, and partner organization meetings.

Collaborate with the Fundraising Council and Board of Directors to develop and execute fundraising strategies.

Lead efforts to secure corporate sponsorships, individual donors, and in‑kind contributions for Woman Volunteer of the Year event.

Assist in planning and executing WVOY, including coordinating fundraising asks, managing donor relationships, and ensuring event success.

Work closely with event committees to maximize fundraising potential and donor engagement.

Identify new revenue streams and grant opportunities to further support JLBR's programs and initiatives.

Program & Volunteer Coordination

Work with JLBR leadership to ensure all programs align with our mission and community needs.

Support volunteer engagement and training efforts to strengthen JLBR's impact.

Track program success and community engagement metrics, providing reports to leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, public relations, business, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in nonprofit program management, fundraising, or community outreach.

Strong knowledge of fundraising strategies, donor cultivation, and event planning.

Exceptional communication and relationship‑building skills.

Experience working with corporate sponsors, community organizations, and volunteers.

Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, donor databases (GiveSmart), and digital marketing tools.

Passion for voluntarism, community engagement, and women's leadership development.
