General Purpose Under the supervision of the Vice President of Youth IMPACT, the Clubhouse Director oversees a stand‑alone facility. The Director provides high‑level leadership and oversight, ultimately responsible for team management, program delivery and outcome measurement, strategic partnerships, risk management, and fiscal management.

Clubhouse Director

The Clubhouse Director will help bring to life a portfolio of life‑changing programs for kids and their families, co‑creating a thriving club program that brings together kids, adults, community leaders, and more to help kids reach their full potential. The Director works with club members daily in programs, activities, and mentorship.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Leadership – Provides effective leadership and direction to staff and club members by complying with organization policies and demonstrating core values.

Development & Management of World Class Club Experience – Uses the Youth Development Strategy to develop and implement programs that meet the organization’s mission, utilizing programs developed locally and by Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Membership Recruitment – Recruits and retains members through flyers, newsletters, and word‑of‑mouth, maintaining the recommended number of members and appropriate waiting lists.

Safety – Maintains a safe, clean environment and ensures proper use and maintenance of club equipment and property.

Member Behavior – Utilizes appropriate redirection, discipline, and restorative practices to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all members.

Staff Management & Recruitment – Builds a team, hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates all clubhouse staff, fostering a positive and dynamic relationship between staff and club members.

Volunteer Development – Implements a volunteer program for program support and appropriately recognizes volunteers.

Resource Management – Manages financial resources, assists in developing and monitoring the annual budget, and ensures technology, information management systems, and staff skills are current.

Communication – Acts as the primary point of contact between parents and local schools, posting program schedules in clear, appropriate languages.

Facility Management – Maintains a safe, clean, and appealing club facility.

Partnership Development – Supports the development of strategic alliances and collaborative partnerships that further Boys & Girls Clubs in the community.

Administration – Completes all administrative tasks in accordance with organizational deadlines, including bi‑weekly payroll and weekly attendance tracking.

Other Responsibilities Child Nutrition Program

Serve meals to members.

Supervise members during meal service time.

Display civil rights poster and menu at the service location.

Count meals and record the information per CACFP requirements.

Complete meal order form and collect menu production records and transport records.

Submit meal count form, meal order form, menu production records, and transport records to the CNP Manager.

Athletics

Market leagues to the community.

Recruit league sponsors and volunteers.

Oversee registration and sign‑up.

Assemble teams, coaches, and schedule.

Weekend Services

Plan and coordinate youth and family enrichment, including wrap‑around programming, recreation, and educational courses.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience – Four years of leadership experience in a social service or education organization with proven success in staff management, operations, and community relations. Bachelor’s degree required or 10 years of experience in lieu.

Preferred background – Thorough understanding of nonprofits, specifically youth development organizations, and risk management best practices.

Communication Skills – Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, with excellent oral and written communication skills.

Leadership Skills – Negotiation, problem solving, decision making, and delegation.

Other Skills – Flawless integrity, strong verbal and written communication, group leadership skills, computer skills (Microsoft Office), and organizational, staff, and project management abilities.

Physical Requirements – Must be able to lift 30 lbs., stand for at least 2 hours consecutively, and sit at a computer workstation for long periods of time.

Certifications – Mandatory CPR and First Aid certifications within 90 days of employment; Valid State Driver’s License and proof of auto insurance.
