Company Description The BSC position is key to EQUUS achieving its annual placement outcomes. The BSC has 4 overarching responsibilities:
1)
establishing new employer relationships and maintaining pre-existing relationships with employers.
2)
Providing employers with services that benefit their hiring and training needs, and
3)
Providing Virginia Career Works Centers with activities that effectively match employment opportunities with qualified candidates.
4)
Provide opportunities that match employment opportunities with WIOA candidates.
Job Description
Meet with prospective employers to provide support and assistance with their hiring needs
Promote Work Experience (WEX), On the Job Training (OJT), Incumbent Worker and Customized training, as tools to incentivize employers to employ WIOA job seekers.
Schedule daily prospecting/cold calls and face-to-face meetings with employers.
Acts as the liaison among employers and the WIOA program
Screens and matches WIOA participants with employment opportunities based on their skills, work experience, hobbies and interests.
Achieves monthly, quarterly and annual work activity goals as prescribed and in accordance with WIOA contractual obligations.
Documents, consistently and accurately, in real time, all participant and employer contact, activities and outcomes into a weekly and monthly report that includes a narrative and employer listing
Coordinate center activities such as monthly Job Fair and Job Club.
Coordinate as a team, a quarterly community Job Fair in one of the counties included in region
Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Knowledge of the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act
Understanding of goals and related activity through EQUUS contract with local funder
Ability to work both independently and as a team member
Ability to establish a rapport with individuals of diverse cultures and educational levels and abilities
Knowledge of Microsoft Office with an aptitude for learning additional software tools
Ability to represent the Virginia Career Works Centers in a professional manner; including professional attire, attitude, and presence.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience; Five years’ professional experience in sales, marketing.
