Job Title: Director of Youth & Aquatics Department: Youth and Aquatics
Reports to: Assistant General Manager (AGM) Effective Date: February 2026
Job Summary:
North Ridge Country Club is a private county club, providing its members with exceptional club experiences for the whole family. The Director of Youth & Aquatics is responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and knowledge for the youth programs at North Ridge Country Club. This role creates, plans, and executes youth activities for youth of all ages throughout the calendar year. The Director of Youth & Aquatics is responsible for the seasonal activity for the club’s pool facilities. Ensuring the pool is properly maintained and staffed throughout the summer season.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise and mentor department staff
Manage youth and pool staff, including:
Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff
Prepares schedules and timecards
Handles discipline and termination in accordance with company policy
Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
Manage department expenses and adhere to the department budget.
Participate in budget
Duties/Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety for pool and youth activities
Create and execute youth program activities
Maintain department’s event calendar
Communicate pertinent department information with other club staff
Coordinate cross-functional activities with department heads
Ensure pool is properly maintained and properly staffed
Oversee daily Youth operations
Oversee seasonal Aquatics operations
Maintain youth member disclosures and consent forms
Maintain member incident log
Oversee the NRCC Swim Team and schedule
Participate in aquatics and youth committees with chair, Clubhouse Operations & Facilities Manager and GM/COO and AGM, providing leadership and guidance
Engage positively with staff and members to ensure a high level of satisfaction and participation
Requirements Required Skills/Abilities:
Maintain club values in challenging situations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Positive personality and kind demeanor
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Education and Experience:
At least five years management experience
At least five years Youth Activity management experience
At least five years’ Pool Maintenance experience required
Country Club Experience preferred
Club software experience preferred
CPO Credentials preferred
Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk around club campus, both inside and outside
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
Must know how to swim
