Preferred Qualifications

At least 3 - 5 years teaching experience in Early childhood setting
A masters degree in a relevant field
Experience serving as a Preschool Director (or similar leadership role in early childhood education)

Job Description The director is responsible for the leadership, administration, and daily oversight of Hilltop Christian School’s early childhood programs, including the Preschool and Kindergarten/1st Grade, Extended Day, and Summer Camp. The Director ensures that programs meet high standards of safety, educational excellence, regulatory compliance, and Christian values, while providing a nurturing, developmentally appropriate, and engaging environment.
The director must have a strong focus on the school’s vision, curriculum development, personnel, parent and community relations, and Board of Director relations.
The director must share a passion for Hilltop’s educational philosophy. At Hilltop Christian School, our approach centers on personal, interactive instruction in a play-based format by experienced teachers who see each child as an individual. Children are encouraged to learn by exploring the world around them, and to communicate and express themselves clearly and confidently.
The director is expected to affirm and support the statement of faith, model Christ-centered character in both personal and professional life, and actively cultivate a spiritually nurturing environment for students, families, and staff. This includes integrating biblical principles into leadership and decision-making, and maintaining conduct that reflects Christian integrity, humility, and service.
Academic session - August 1 through May 31, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, Monday – Friday
Summer session - June 1st - July 31st, during the summer session, working hours will vary but at a minimum will include 9 am – 1 pm on days when summer camp is in session. Additional hours during the summer session include, but are not limited to: attendance at scheduled meetings, providing tours to prospective families and administrative tasks associated with preparing the school for the upcoming academic year.
Attendance at special school events and/or circumstances throughout the year may require additional hours.
