Executive Protection Specialist – Seattle, WA
Position Responsibilities
Interfaces with Executive Council and Board of Director members
Uses close-in protection techniques, threat management, protective intelligence, surveillance detection, defensive driving, tactical shooting, self-defense techniques, and First Aid/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to protect assigned individuals
Coordinates logistics arrangements for assigned individual or events, such as transportation and lodging
Conducts and documents complex advances, acts as detail leader or event coordinator, creates detailed after-action reports and negotiates with internal/external support personnel
Produces outlines, conducts research, uses office applications, and identifies key equipment necessary to deliver training in accordance with customer requirements
Operates technical surveillance equipment and trains others in its use
Responds to emergency calls for assistance to mitigate hazardous situations
Acts as Incident Commander to determine and implement the appropriate course of action
Completes appropriate notification and documentation
Develops incident response protocols and guidelines as a credentialed investigator, conducts investigative interviews and generates investigative reports
Conducts investigations involving senior company officials
Communicates with site security managers, Ethics, Law Department and local and federal agencies, regarding investigation results
Oversees the design, development and implementation of information protection programs, processes and procedures for the protection of company people, property, information and interests
Guides the development of information protection/risk management policies and strategic, tactical and operational planning activities for sustainability
Consults with customers and company and external organizations to recommend and propose new or alternative solutions, improvements, and enhancements
Investigates, analyzes, and resolves complex questions and problems
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
5+ years of experience in executive protection or high-risk security detail
5+ years of experience covering one or more of the following types of issues: geopolitical instability, political violence, terrorism, protective intelligence, cybersecurity, executive protection, travel safety & security, issue-based activism, man‑made/natural disaster response and recovery, insider threat/workplace violence, and counterintelligence/corporate espionage
5+ years of experience working with federal, state and local law enforcement and intelligence agencies including liaison with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Joint Terrorism Task Forces, Fusion Centers, Field Intelligence Groups and the Intelligence Community
5+ years of experience building relationships and partnering with all levels of employees, including executives
Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally on short notice
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
10+ years of experience in executive protection or high-risk security detail
Security Clearance This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post‑Start is required.
