Low Voltage Electrician Apprentice We are seeking a motivated and dependable Low Voltage Electrician Apprentice to join our fire/security systems team. This entry‑level position is perfect for individuals looking to build a career in the low voltage electrical trade, with a focus on fire alarm systems in commercial and industrial settings. You will work under the guidance of experienced technicians to learn the fundamentals of installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Assist with the installation, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm and other low voltage systems such as security and access control.

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

Pull, label, and terminate low voltage wiring and cabling under supervision.

Support the setup and configuration of fire alarm control panels and devices.

Help perform inspections to ensure systems meet local codes and standards.

Assist in troubleshooting and repairing system faults and malfunctions.

Work alongside project managers, general contractors, and other trades on job sites.

Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Provide courteous and professional communication with clients and team members.

Essential Skills

Interest in electrical work and fire alarm systems.

Willingness to learn and follow instructions.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Basic hand tool knowledge.

Strong attention to detail.

Team‑oriented attitude.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

1–2 years of relevant experience preferred.

Ability to provide own tools is a plus.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in confined spaces.

Capable of working in various environmental conditions (indoor/outdoor).

Prior work with low voltage installation, conduit, schematics, cable, power tools, and pulling wire.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Savannah, GA.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00 per hour.
