John Megel Ford is hiring a Parts Counter Person to assist technicians and customers in dispensing and purchasing automotive parts and supplies at the service parts counter in Cleveland, GA. The role involves ordering, selling, and inventory management of parts for both customers and technicians.
Job Description Support the parts department by looking up, ordering, and selling automotive parts to all customers, including shop, over‑the‑counter, wholesale, internet, and phone inquiries. Provide parts and accessories promptly to technicians, track all incoming and outgoing parts, handle incoming phone calls efficiently, and sell parts to meet monthly forecasts. Control files, reference books, and other paperwork at the parts counter, maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, and take inventory of stock.
Responsibilities
Look up and sell automotive parts to all customers: shop, over the counter, wholesale, via internet as well as the phone
Issue parts and accessories promptly to technicians from the service parts counter
Track all incoming and outgoing parts for the dealership
Handle incoming phone calls efficiently
Sell parts to meet monthly forecasts
Control files, reference books, and other paperwork at the parts counter
Take inventory of stock
Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts
Requirements
Automotive Parts experience is preferred
Prompt and dependable work attendance
Friendly and good customer service skills
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be a current resident
Must pass pre‑employment testing to include background checks, MVR, and drug screening
