Senior Product and Wage Tax Specialist

Position The Benelux region has a separate tax team, working out of Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Brussels. Within the team the position will become vacant for Product and Wage Tax Expert. The Product and Wage Tax Expert will report to the Head of Tax Benelux.

In this role the focus will primarily provide strategic and operational advice on tax-related aspects of our insurance products and act as the in-house wage tax expert, including advisory on WKR (Werkkostenregeling). This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, ensuring compliance and adding value to the business through your expertise.

More specifically the tasks and responsibilities include:

Advise the business on Dutch tax-related matters concerning insurance products.

Ensure the correct tax treatment is applied to all insurance products.

Facilitate knowledge transfer to the business and maintain an up-to-date tax knowledge database.

Actively participate in various internal consultative bodies related to insurance products.

Build and maintain a strong working relationship with the Dutch wage tax inspector.

Provide support to HR and cost accounting teams on wage tax-related questions, including WKR.

Represent Allianz in industry groups to stay informed and ensure compliance with the latest developments in product and wage tax regulations.

Candidate Key requirements/experience and skills:

a degree in Tax Law or Tax Economics;

A minimum of 10+ years of tax experience, (financial industry and financial product tax knowledge is a strong plus).

Expertise in Dutch wage tax (and preferable product tax, otherwise willingness to learn on the job and follow relevant education/training).

A hands‑on, proactive, and self‑starter attitude with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax matters to non-tax professionals and business stakeholders.
