New Accounts Representative/Teller III

Responsibilities include opening, processing, and maintaining deposit accounts, performing teller duties, wire transfers, and staying current on key regulations and bank policies.

Job Duties Open and process new demand and time deposit accounts including prime interest accounts, IRAs, certificates of deposit; explain all disclosures. Provide customers with account information, rates, service charges, restrictions. Order checks, debit cards, and starter checks; perform wire transfers. Research and resolve problems, respond to customer inquiries, maintain account files, refer customers as appropriate, keep informed of service changes, and comply with all applicable regulations and laws. Perform teller duties, manage compromised debit cards, complete error resolutions, maintain daily reports, close accounts, file new account work, and work teller line as needed.

Operates fax, adding machine, copier, typewriter.
Basic computer skills.
Knowledge of bank products and government regulations related to CD/IRAs and deposit accounts.
Compliance with Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, and USA PATRIOT Act, including accurate completion of CTR, monetary instrument log, customer identification program, new account activity profiles, and identification of high‑risk accounts.
ADA Accommodation Considerations This job involves lifting 10‑15 pound coin boxes from the floor, using a computer, phone, fax, copier, and standing for much of the day.
