
Leasing Specialist

Responsibilities
Maintain an excellent customer service relationship.
Adhere to the Panther Residential Management Standard Operating Procedures.
Lease apartments and sell the property’s products and services to prospects.
Respond to internet leads, answer prospect calls, and conduct property tours following mystery‑shop guidelines.
Optimize occupancy while maximizing effective leased rent.
Utilize established sales and marketing strategies to increase property traffic, maintain closing ratios, and exceed budgeted occupancy percentages.
Maintain thorough product knowledge of the property and key competitors.
Prepare and possess a thorough knowledge of all lease‑related paperwork.
Maintain prospect traffic and leasing data and assist with other computer data entry as necessary.
Deliver resident gifts; inspect units for move‑ins to ensure they are ready.
Assist with planning and hosting resident functions.
Audit all lease and renewal files for key controls and submit bonuses to the Community Manager.
Review guest cards to ensure entry, follow‑up, and monitor any traffic trends.
Qualifications Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or GED, with one to three months of related experience or training recommended but not required.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; requires fluency in English.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; compute rates, ratios, and percentages; interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form; solve problems with several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
Knowledge of Internet software, spreadsheet software (Excel), word processing software (Word), email software (Outlook), presentation software (PowerPoint), and publisher software; ability to learn and operate OneSite.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid driver’s license with acceptable motor‑vehicle record; must provide own vehicle for job functions.
Other Qualifications:
Commitment to ongoing professional development; ability to work any of the seven days of the week, 52 weeks of the year, including overtime and on‑call duties.
