Job Title Accounting (Accounts Payable) Associate

Job Description The Accounting‑Accounts Payable Associate will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. This position involves issuing checks, processing AP invoices, managing wire payments, and performing bank reconciliations. The role requires someone attentive to detail, capable of handling multiple financial tasks, and skilled in using accounting software.

Responsibilities

Issue checks and add accounts payable invoices.

Process wire payments and enter them into the system.

Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.

Monitor cleared and outstanding checks at the end of each month.

Prepare and check the accounts payable aging report monthly.

Enter charges from the factoring company into the system.

Manage debits and outgoing payments.

Process 50‑100 payments weekly.

Pull data from goods receipt to accounts payable without a purchase order.

At the end of the month, list unpaid, unapproved, or unreviewed items and post them as journal entry amounts not approved into an accrued expense.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in accounts payable and invoice processing or accounting internship experience.

Experience with bank reconciliation and processing a high volume of payments.

Ability to prepare monthly aging reports.

Experience entering wires into the accounting system.

Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics ERP (preferred).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Accounting internship experience or relevant accounting experience.

Bachelor's degree is required.

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, particularly Business Central, is a plus.

Candidates from all industries are encouraged to apply.

Skilled in Excel, specifically pivot tables and VLOOKUP for reconciliations.

Work Environment The position is 100% onsite in Brentwood Los Angeles, CA. The standard schedule is 9 AM to 6 PM, but accommodations can be made for an 8 AM to 5 PM schedule. This role offers a contract‑to‑hire opportunity with a well‑established company and the potential for a raise in January 2027.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, CA.

Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00–$27.00 /hr.
