Job Description The job entails growing an established customer base with a moderate focus on opening new accounts within assigned territory through consultative sales. Sales are business‑to‑business oriented and results will rely heavily on the candidate’s ability to quickly build relationships and dedicate themselves to servicing accounts.

This person will be servicing on‑premise accounts (restaurants, bars, etc.) in the Cedar Rapids area of Iowa.

Position Duties Territory Management

Ensure consistent customer contact

Properly plan and execute sales initiatives

Handle all customer related issues in a prompt and friendly manner

Selling

Full understanding of products and pricing schedules

Make effective sales presentations

Achieve assigned company objectives and successfully grow business

Identify and nurture new and undersold accounts

Resources

Use all available POS to enhance selling efforts

Knowledge of all deals, programming and initiatives the company has

Servicing

Follow necessary steps when making sales calls

Perform reliable and consistent customer service to accounts

Face‑to‑face interaction with customers

Administration

Adhere to all company policies and procedures

Handle all paperwork issues in a proper and timely manner

Position Qualifications

BA/BS college degree or related industry experience

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Goals and results driven

Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Reliable transportation and proof of insurance

Local candidates preferred (no relocation package)

Desire to sell and capacity to create professional presentations

Prior sales experience and/or prior wine and spirits industry sales preferred

Availability to work outside the 8‑5 schedule, as many accounts will be best accessible in early evening hours and occasional weekend events

Be self‑motivated/disciplined, goal‑oriented, timely, and able to prioritize

Be able to connect well with a large range of buyer types

Professional written, oral, and electronic communication skills

Have ability to lift 54 pounds from the ground and above 60 inches

Team player attitude and actions

Candidate must pass criminal background and MVR.
