Food Access & Community Growth Specialist VISTA

Member Duties The goal of this AmeriCorps VISTA project is to strengthen and expand food access initiatives that serve individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. The VISTA will build sustainable systems that increase community awareness, improve coordination of food resources, and enhance partnerships with local organizations. Through the development of structured volunteer engagement, outreach strategies, and resource networks, the project will increase equitable access to nutritious food and promote long‑term food stability within the Cape Girardeau community for our low‑income population.
