Architectural Designer - Residential job at DAHLIN Architecture | Planning | Interiors. Pleasanton, CA. As an Architectural Designer at DAHLIN, you’ll bring creativity, curiosity, and a passion for placemaking to the design of meaningful residential communities. Collaborating with principals and project teams, you’ll support all phases of the design process while building skills in visual communication, 3D modeling, and design development. What You Will Do

Engage directly with design leadership in the development of concepts and implementation utilizing 3D modeling, presentations, and design studies Complete the drawing and documentation of assigned projects during design phases including Programming and Conceptual Design through Entitlements Support design efforts with self‑generated and A.I.-generated ideas Develop design process efficiencies using A.I. solutions Design with attention to client budgetary needs Assist team as needed to close out projects What You Will Bring

Excellent ability to sketch, design, draw, model and communicate visually Strong skills in blank paper design Strong skills and talent in SketchUp modeling, Revit/BIM, and AutoCAD; A.I. software, and Adobe Design Suite experience preferred Interest in understanding architectural assemblies and details Strong problem‑solving and independent thinking skills, along with good listening and follow‑through Enthusiasm and a collaborative mindset, with a proactive approach to contributing and advancing project progress. Your Qualifications

5 years of experience in a professional architectural setting; residential projects required Completion of Bachelor’s in Architecture or Master’s in Architecture from an NAAB accredited program Commitment to their own professional growth; preferably to obtaining licensure as an architect Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States without any restrictions. Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position We offer a competitive compensation package based on experience and qualifications. Excellent benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage. $75,000 – $90,000 depending on qualifications. Placement within this pay range will be determined by factors such as education, qualifications, project complexity and/or experience. The maximum is reserved for candidates who currently meet all job requirements.
