Position: Admissions Director (Census-Driven)
Vista View Post-Acute is seeking a dynamic, census-driven Admissions Director for a full-time, on-site role in Vista, CA. This position is ideal for a highly motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment and is passionate about building census, managing referrals, and driving admissions growth.
The Admissions Director will be responsible for managing and converting referrals, maintaining strong relationships with hospitals and community partners, and ensuring a seamless admissions process from referral to admission. The ideal candidate is proactive, relationship-focused, and able to work with urgency while delivering exceptional customer service to residents and families.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and respond to all incoming referrals with urgency and a strong focus on conversion to admissions Drive and maintain facility census through strategic relationship-building and follow-up Develop and maintain strong partnerships with hospitals, case managers, discharge planners, and community referral sources Conduct facility tours for prospective residents and families, ensuring a warm and professional experience Collaborate closely with DON, clinical team, and administration to review referrals and determine admission eligibility quickly Coordinate all aspects of the admissions process including bed availability, insurance verification, and documentation Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and company regulations related to admissions Track referral activity, admissions metrics, and daily census updates Participate in marketing and community outreach efforts to support census growth Provide excellent customer service and communication to residents, families, and referral partners. Qualifications
Skilled nursing or healthcare admissions experience strongly preferred Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, census-driven environment Strong sales, marketing, and relationship-building skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask Knowledge of insurance, Medicare, HMOs, and referral processes preferred Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and leadership teams. Salary
$70,000 – $80,000 annually (based on experience) Bonus Plan
