Job Summary
This position supports the Director of Education in the comprehensive administration, coordination, and development of instructional policies, programs, personnel, and facilities. The Assistant Director of Education (ADOE) plays a pivotal role in fostering an environment of academic and professional excellence for both students and faculty, while promoting a collaborative and innovative working atmosphere among educational team members.
Responsibilities
Provide collaborative support to the Director of Education in administration, coordination, and development of instructional policies, programs, personnel, and facilities.
Contribute to the strategic development and operational execution of educational initiatives.
Manage multiple priorities, drive academic success, and ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
Engage with diverse teams, communicating complex concepts effectively in both written and oral formats.
Adapt management and communication styles to suit various personalities, including supervisors, peers, and staff.
Independently manage multiple tasks, prioritize shifting demands, and organize materials to meet tight deadlines.
Demonstrate self‑motivation and the ability to work extended hours with minimal supervision.
Utilize advanced computer software, including databases, word processing, and email, to analyze data and identify trends.
Develop and implement solutions to challenges by evaluating multiple options and potential outcomes.
Analyze fiscal and student body data to identify trends and perform needs assessments.
Manage and optimize key numeric metrics to achieve organizational goals.
Collaborate effectively as both a leader and a team member with academic, business, and regulatory stakeholders.
Listen to and address the needs of students, staff, and other stakeholders in a timely and positive manner.
Adapt to evolving assignments and shifting priorities while maintaining focus on objectives.
Ensure the successful completion of multiple tasks and adherence to deadlines.
Directly impact the shaping of academic policies and the enhancement of student outcomes.
Play a critical role in maintaining academic integrity and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in academics, including academic management, advising, and teaching.
Extensive knowledge of regulatory provisions and industry practices preferred.
Experience with student management information systems.
