POSITION SUMMARY The Executive Director is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational success of assigned YMCA branch. This role drives mission impact through effective staff leadership, community engagement, program quality, and financial sustainability.

The Executive Director fosters a culture where staff and members feel they belong and can thrive, while advancing the YMCA’s values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Provides direct supervision to 4 leadership staff and oversees all branch/program employees.

Noise level is typically moderate.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience

5+ years of leadership experience in operations, nonprofit, or related field

Demonstrated experience in staff leadership, financial management, and program oversight

Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑building skills

Preferred

YMCA experience

Experience leading multi‑site operations

Fundraising and community engagement experience
