
Sports Director

The YMCA of South Florida is looking for a Sports Director!
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Broward County, FL. The Sports Director is responsible for leading the planning, development, and execution of sports programs for both youth and adults. This role ensures programs are high-quality, inclusive, and aligned with the YMCA’s mission and values.
The Sports Director will be responsible for organizing leagues, supervising and supporting coaching staff, coordinating facility schedules, maintaining participant safety, and creating a positive and engaging environment for all. The Sports Director will also build relationships with community members and partners to expand and strengthen the YMCA’s sports offerings.
Qualifications
Background in Sports, Sports Management, Physical Education, or a related field
Experience in coaching and mentoring participants across various age groups
Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage participants, families, staff, and community partners
Proven leadership skills, including team supervision and program coordination
Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in sports programming
First Aid and CPR certification
Experience in a nonprofit or community-based organization is a plus
