Job Summary Help grow a safer, cleaner, healthier future for everyone, every day.

Sensorex believes that even the most complex water analysis should be fast and simple to perform. Sensorex specializes in the design and manufacture of pH and ORP electrodes, conductivity and TDS sensors, and other electrochemical and optical measurement technologies. We’ve introduced leading edge technologies since our launch in 1972, and today we remain focused on the continual advancement of water quality monitoring products.

We are a subsidiary of Halma plc. As part of the Environmental & Analysis Sector, we provide high quality sensor development services and application advisory services to OEMs and partners worldwide.

Product Specialist Role The Product Specialist is a subject matter expert on Sensorex's products and applications, and the primary resource for customers, sales partners, and internal teams who need deep product knowledge. The Product Specialist works at the intersection of science & engineering, product documentation, and market-facing support.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary resource for inbound technical inquiries from OEM customers, system integrators, distribution partners, and end users.

Troubleshoot sensor performance issues across a range of measurement parameters (pH, ORP, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, free chlorine, etc.) and application environments.

Provide application guidance to help customers select the right product for their specific process conditions, including media chemistry, temperature and pressure ranges, installation configuration, and output interface requirements (4‑20 mA, Modbus/RS‑485, SCADA integration).

Support the sales team with pre‑sales technical consultation, including participation in customer meetings or demos when product expertise is required.

Develop a technical support case management process that will serve as an informational resource for sales and product management.

Systematically capture and synthesize feedback from customers, technical support interactions, and field conversations to surface product improvement opportunities and unmet needs.

Work with product management and R&D to translate customer insights into actionable product feedback—advocating for changes to specifications, features, or accessories based on observed application requirements.

Monitor competitive products, industry standards, and evolving regulatory requirements to inform the product team about market trends relevant to Sensorex's portfolio.

Participate in trade shows, industry events, and customer site visits as a credible technical representative of the Sensorex brand.

Product Content Management

Own the accuracy, currency, and quality of Sensorex's product documentation portfolio, including specification sheets, datasheets, instruction manuals, installation guides, and application notes.

Collaborate with engineering and R&D to ensure that new and revised products are accompanied by complete, accurate, and professionally presented documentation before market release.

Develop supplementary technical content including application notes, selection guides, and comparison matrices that help customers navigate the product portfolio.

Maintain documentation standards and ensure consistency in technical language, specification format, and regulatory or compliance references across all product literature.

Develop technically grounded content for web, trade publications, and campaigns—translating complex electrochemistry into accessible, compelling language for varied audiences.

Support the creation of training materials, product presentations, and application‑specific content that helps the sales team and distributor network sell more effectively.

Required Qualifications

Associate’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.

3+ years of hands‑on experience developing, deploying, or validating water quality sensors, including pH, dissolved oxygen, chlorine, nitrate, or other electrochemically detectable analytes.

Customer‑facing communication skills — comfortable presenting technical material to engineers, operators, and procurement professionals alike.

Experience reading and interpreting technical specifications, wiring diagrams, and instrument communication protocols (4‑20 mA, Modbus/RS‑485).

Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to produce technically rigorous documentation that is also clear, well‑organized, and accessible.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in one or more of Sensorex's key end markets: municipal water and wastewater treatment, industrial process water, pool & spa, aquaculture, food and beverage, or laboratory analytics.

Strong understanding of redox chemistry, electrode materials, electrolyte systems, and electrochemical interfaces.

Exposure to SCADA/PLC integration or building automation systems in the context of sensor signal management.

Experience writing or editing technical documentation—specification sheets, application notes, or product manuals.
