The Assistant Director of Freshman Recruitment implements Augusta University's freshman recruitment plan to recruit, admit, and enroll new first‑year freshmen students. The position is responsible for day‑to‑day supervision of multiple Admissions Counselors, each assigned a specific geographic territory with enrollment targets, assisting them in territory management and decisions. Additionally, the Assistant Director manages their own assigned territory to meet enrollment targets. Responsibilities

Territory Management – manages a specific recruitment territory, meets recruitment goals, uses data to plan efforts, schedules and conducts high‑school visits and speaking engagements, travels to fairs and events, coordinates school counselor relationships, corresponds with prospective students and families via email, phone, social media, and in‑person meetings, gives presentations at events. Recruitment Team Leadership – supervises, assigns tasks, provides support and guidance for Admissions Counselors; teaches use of data and trends to create recruitment plans, assists staff in analyzing applicant reports, trains staff on travel planning and related policies, analyzes applicant reports for trends to guide recruitment decisions and efforts. Strategic Recruitment & Departmental Leadership – creates and implements recruitment tactics and event programming; assists in the development and execution of communications to prospective students via Slate CRM; manages special events and recruitment strategies for special populations such as the Jaguar Jumpstart, Professional Scholars, and Honors programs. Committees – serves on institutional and divisional committees to support the mission of Augusta University. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications

Master's degree from an accredited college or university and one year of experience in admissions, higher education, or related field; OR Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in admissions, higher education, or related field. Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree from an accredited college or university with related experience in student affairs, higher education, or related field. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Understanding of emergent and best practices in the field of recruitment and admission. Skills

Detail‑oriented with strong prioritization and organizational skills. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated event planning skills. Abilities

Ability to maintain confidentiality. Demonstrated ability to lead a team. Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret, and utilize complex admission and enrollment data. Ability to respond to sensitive inquiries or students in challenging situations. Commitment to the development of a student‑centered, residential campus environment through collaborative teamwork across units and divisions. Shift/Salary/Benefits

Shift: Days; M‑F (Work outside the standard business hours may be required). Pay Band: B10. Salary: $52,500–$54,600 annually, commensurate with qualifications. Recruitment Period: Until Filled. Augusta University offers a variety of benefits to full‑time benefit‑eligible employees and some of our half‑time or more employees, including health, dental, life insurance, teachers retirement system, vacation, sick leave, and 13 paid holidays. Full‑time employees employed more than six months may be considered for the Tuition Assistance Program. Conditions of Employment
