POSITION OVERVIEW Soft Count Specialist responsibilities will revolve around conducting soft count procedures, which involve the counting and verification of currency, coins, and chips collected from slot machines, table games, and other gaming activities. Your meticulous attention to detail, strong mathematical skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality are vital for this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

Perform soft count procedures to tally and verify cash and chips from gaming tables, slot machines, and other designated collection points within the casino premises

Utilize advanced counting equipment and tools to accurately count currency notes, coins, and gaming chips, ensuring precision and reliability in the counting process

Verification and Auditing: Verify counts to detect discrepancies, errors, or irregularities in the collected funds and promptly report any discrepancies to the appropriate personnel

Maintain detailed records of the soft count results, documenting the amount of cash, coins, and chips counted for each gaming area

Follow strict security protocols to safeguard the counted cash and chips, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to gaming regulations and internal controls

Collaborate with other members of the soft count team, working together to achieve daily counting goals and ensure a smooth operation

Prepare and submit comprehensive reports summarizing the soft count results, ensuring accurate and timely communication to management

Assist in the preparation and movement of funds to the appropriate departments or financial institutions, as required

Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper maintenance and calibration of counting equipment to guarantee accurate and reliable results

Implement quality control measures to identify potential counting errors and suggest improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the soft count process

Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

SALARY

$20.00 per hour
