Currently we have a
Parts Counter Associate
role open on 1st shift. The Parts Counter Associate is responsible for accepting and processing parts orders and for the daily shipping and receiving functions of the parts department.
Essential functions of the position include:
Assist customers in the parts ordering process by searching and identifying necessary technical information, sourcing parts, and providing pricing and availability, involving vendors and manufacturers as necessary
Accept and process customer parts orders and place corresponding orders with manufacturers and vendors as needed
Primary contact for the service department for providing parts technical assistance, sourcing, pricing and availability, and processing work order requisitions
Monitor the status of all back-ordered parts, ensure all reasonable attempts have been made to expedite those orders, and keep all customers (including the service department) regularly informed of the status of their orders
Process customer and service department request for returns of parts previously purchased according to the guidelines established
File claims for parts returns with the appropriate vendors, and track the status of each claim to ensure timely resolution
Prepare and process parts invoices and credit memos in accordance with the policies established by the accounting department
Responsible for the loading and unloading of all incoming and outgoing parts shipments via motor freight
Physically check all incoming parts for accuracy against the original order and the attached packing slip, and either process for final delivery to customer or ensure proper stock placement
Responsible for ensuring the parts warehouse is neat, clean, and orderly, and that the inventory is maintained in a logical manner to simplify the process of locating parts for picking and for physical counts
Pick, package, and process the shipment of all outgoing parts orders in accordance with the customers' delivery preferences
Provide necessary package tracking information and proof of delivery as requested
Responsible for ensuring the current freight and package delivery services match the company's needs and for resolving any issues as they arise.
General qualifications for this role:
High School or GED. College degree preferred
Minimum of three (3) years of related experience of parts sales and/or inventory
Must be able to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings
