We’re looking for a driven, technically savvy Technical Sales Specialist to join our growing Sales team and expand CMC’s presence across the Northeast region. This role blends technical expertise with relationship-driven sales . The Technical Sales Specialist will build a strong sales pipeline, demonstrate equipment capabilities to customers, and serve as a trusted advisor to arborists, contractors, rental companies, and other specialized industries. The ideal candidate thrives in the field, enjoys hands-on demonstrations of equipment, and can confidently guide customers from first inquiry through purchase and long-term partnership. This is a field-based technical sales role with significant customer interaction and equipment demonstrations. Candidates should enjoy working both with customers and hands-on equipment. What You Bring

Key Responsibilities Sales Territory & Pipeline Development Build and manage a territory sales pipeline that moves leads from inquiry through purchase. Prospect, qualify, and develop new business opportunities through outbound outreach, events, referrals, and digital leads. Manage and maintain accurate records in the CRM system (Salesforce), updating lead status and sales activities regularly. Close equipment sales with the support of the Regional Sales Manager and achieve monthly sales targets. Monitor competitive activity within the region and report relevant market insights. Product Demonstrations & Customer Engagement Safely tow, transport, and operate CMC lifts, Carlton chippers and stump grinders, ANTS trailers, and related equipment for on-site demonstrations and field trials. Plan and execute customer demo days, training events, lunch-and-learns, trade shows, and other promotional activities. Educate customers on product features, operational benefits, and safety practices. Customer Success & After-Sales Support Deliver equipment to customers and provide operational familiarization or certified MEWP training where applicable. Coordinate with Service and Technical teams on warranty, parts, and technical support. Maintain post-sale engagement to drive customer satisfaction, retention, and repeat business. Capture customer feedback to support product improvements and operational insights. Compliance, Safety & Brand Representation Adhere to DOT regulations and company policies related to towing and equipment transport. Follow all aerial work platform safety protocols and operational guidelines. Represent CMC North America with professionalism and uphold company brand standards in all customer interactions. Requirements

3–5+ years of B2B capital equipment sales experience (construction, rental, arborist, industrial, or access equipment preferred) or a bachelor’s degree in a related field with relevant sales experience. Hands-on technical selling ability and comfort operating or demonstrating aerial lifts and related equipment. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to tow a truck and trailer for equipment demonstrations. CRM proficiency (Salesforce or similar systems). Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Strong time management, organization, and territory planning abilities. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams. Strong problem-solving and customer-service orientation. Preferred Qualifications

Experience in tree care, equipment rental, hydraulic machinery, or related industries. Certified MEWP operator or willingness to obtain certification. IPAF certification preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Ability to adapt to dynamic jobsite environments and field demonstrations. Travel is expected 2–3 weeks per month within the Northeast region , with occasional travel outside the territory for training, trade shows, and industry meetings. Ability to handle demonstration equipment and accessories such as outrigger pads, wheel chocks, and safety gear. Occasional evening or weekend work for events or customer demonstrations may be required. Compensation & Earning Potential

This role offers a strong earning opportunity for a motivated sales professional who enjoys building relationships and demonstrating industry-leading equipment. Base Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000 annually Target On-Target Earnings (OTE): $120,000 – $150,000 annually, including base salary and performance-based bonus. Compensation includes a 50% target bonus opportunity , with the ability to exceed target earnings based on sales performance.
