The WA State Native American Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, also known as WomenSpirit Coalition, is committed to ending domestic violence and sexual assault in Native communities across the state. Through advocacy, education, community collaboration, and culturally specific programs, the organization aims to empower Native survivors and support their healing journey. WomenSpirit Coalition actively works to honor and uphold the traditions, values, and sovereignty of Native peoples while fostering safe and thriving communities. Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Development Director role based in Sequim, WA. The Development Director will be responsible for leading and implementing fundraising initiatives, cultivating and maintaining donor relationships, and identifying grants or funding opportunities. The position includes creating and executing strategic plans for resource development, managing communication with stakeholders, and coordinating events and fundraising campaigns. Collaboration with internal teams and external partners is essential to achieve organizational goals and expand funding sources. Qualifications
Proven experience in fundraising strategies, donor cultivation, and grant writing Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and resource allocation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders Strategic planning and organizational abilities to execute development initiatives effectively Knowledge of the unique needs and traditions of Native communities is highly desirable Competence in digital tools for donor management, campaign tracking, and communications Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred Experience in nonprofit organizations, particularly in leadership or development roles
