NYC based family (additional homes on Long Island) seeks a thorough, enthusiastic, hospitality-minded, and experienced full charge Executive Housekeeper/Cook to maintain and oversee daily operations of their extensive penthouse and prepare simple healthy meals. The candidate should have a keen eye for detail, be extremely knowledgeable, as well as adaptable in their approach to laundering and housekeeping, and mindful of principal preferences. The candidate will be proactive in keeping the homein pristine order to and capable of both high-level household management and hands-on housekeeping tasks. The candidate must be comfortable working with additional staff and have a flexible schedule with weekend availability.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Full charge Housekeeping throughout the residence daily including all rooms and bathrooms

Ability to perform museum-quality cleaning with proficiency in special surfaces (wood, glass, leather, antiques, silver, etc.)

Washing, ironing and folding linens, towels, and clothing

Managing list of garments which have been sent out for professional service

Packing and unpacking for travel

Management and organization of all closets, pantries, and storage areas

Maintaining residence for guest readiness and assisting with guest care, keeping all public spaces up to Principals’ standards

Assist with special events and projects as needed including guest relations, greeting, and hospitality service (both set up and break down as well)

Ability to turn over the residence quickly for principals or incoming guests

Willingness to run routine errands such as dry cleaner, groceries etc.

Receive deliveries, oversee household projects and serve as primary contact to service providers (electrician, plumber, etc.)

Working alongside team of household staff

Additional Housekeeper/ Cook related tasks and responsibilities as needed and upon request

Requirements:

Strong command of the English language; superb communication skills, both written and verbal

Excellent references from current and/or previous employers

Minimum 3 – 5+ years minimum related experience working in a private home in a similar role(s)

Available to travel to Long Island - if needed

Flexibility in scheduling with the willingness to work extended hours and weekends

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

The ability and willingness to travel is a plus!

Thorough knowledge of detailed household cleaning, cleaning supplies, organization, laundry, food service, and wardrobe maintenance

Must maintain a positive attitude, work well with others and be able to work independently

Poised and professional in both mindset and manner; hospitality-oriented

Always work with the utmost discretion and confidentiality, upholding standards/procedures at all times

Legally able to work in the United States
