POSITION SPECIFICS Penn State is accepting applications for an Assistant Director of Athletics Compliance within the Athletics Compliance Office. This position oversees assigned NCAA bylaws and serves as the primary contact for designated sports and/or units by providing interpretations, submitting waivers, and reporting Level III violations.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage the day-to-day duties related to assigned NCAA bylaws, including Bylaw 13: Recruiting
Serve as the main point of contact for assigned sports and/or administrative units, respond to interpretive inquiries, prepare and submit waiver requests, and investigate and file Level III violations for assigned sports and/or administrative units
Assist with student‑athlete housing assignments and maintain housing database; serve as primary contact for institutional housing of student‑athletes
Assist with maintaining compliance‑related databases (ARMS/Teamworks)
Required Qualifications:
Experience working in an Intercollegiate Athletics Compliance setting
Comprehensive knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
Excellent verbal and written communication, computer, analytical, and research skills
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree or Juris Doctorate (JD)
MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree 1+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted. Required Certifications: None
BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. Penn State does not sponsor or take over sponsorship of a staff employment Visa. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
SALARY & BENEFITS The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $51,000.00 - $74,000.00.
