Pay Range $33.00–$35.00 per hour

Responsibilities

Create an environment in the community that promotes residents and families’ participation in the provided Lifestyle activities.

Develop and submit a monthly calendar of events and a monthly newsletter for residents, staff, and families.

Create and maintain social media under the umbrella of Clearwater’s Home Office.

Coordinate with other associates to plan, execute, and attend special functions such as holidays and celebratory events.

Conduct resident surveys to determine Lifestyle interests and satisfaction levels.

Oversee transportation of residents, including safe loading/unloading, scheduled recreational and medical outings, and evaluating the transportation program.

Recruit, hire, train, motivate, and supervise department staff in accordance with all company policies and core values.

Develop and train volunteers in the community to assist with Lifestyle programs or special events.

Manage the department within budgetary guidelines, track inventory, and order supplies.

Ensure compliance with all State, Federal, and local regulations, including vehicle safety and licensing requirements.

Encourage resident participation in all resident Lifestyle activities.

Alert care staff to any medical or care needs that require immediate attention.

Find ways to reduce costs and create efficiencies.

Ensure regulatory compliance and report issues or concerns immediately.

Maintain a positive and professional image through personal appearance and proper uniform or name tag usage.

Represent Clearwater Living principles and core values daily.

Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Ability, licensure, and willingness to drive community vehicles.

AA degree or Bachelor’s degree in Gerontology, Kinesiology, Recreation Therapy, Health Promotion, or equivalent education and experience.

Minimum of 2–4 years of experience developing and implementing Lifestyle programs for seniors.

Minimum one year of supervisory experience, including training, managing staff, and budgeting.

First Aid/CPR/BLS Certification required.

Background clearances as required by government regulations.

Must meet health requirements, including TB clearance.

Special Requirements/Certifications

ASFA Fitness Instructor/Personal Trainer

ACSM Health/Fitness Specialist / ACSM Certified Group Exercise Instructor / ACSM Certified Personal Trainer

Cooper Research Institute Fitness and Strength Training certification for seniors

Senior Fitness Association Certification (SFA)
