We have an opportunity for a Court Reporter. We are seeking qualified individuals responsible for providing court reporting services using traditional stenographic or voice writing equipment within assigned courtrooms or other court proceedings. The ideal candidate shall possess a current Certified Shorthand Reporter (CSR) certificate issued by the Court Reporters' Board of California, possess real‑time skills, and report court proceedings at a rate of 200 words per minute.

Riverside is the fourth largest county in California and the 10th largest in the United States. It has fourteen court facilities spanning 7,300 square miles and serves Riverside’s 2.4 million residents. The court’s mission is to resolve disputes in a fair, accessible, effective, and efficient manner, applying the law consistently, impartially, and independently to protect the rights and liberties guaranteed by the California and United States Constitutions.

Selection Procedures

Step I – All applications will be reviewed to identify candidates who meet the minimum qualifications; those qualified candidates will be referred to Step II.

Step II – Qualified applicants will be reviewed by the subject‑matter expert(s). Successful candidates may be invited to the next step.

Step III – Oral interview either in person or virtually using Zoom. Those who succeed may be placed on the eligible list. Placement on the eligible list does not guarantee employment.
