We specialize in delivering tailored designs and consultative services that enhance fixed operations flow, throughput, longevity, and profitability. Our primary focus is to serve dealer clients with a white-glove approach and guide them through the decision-making process as they build, renovate, or expand automotive fixed-operations facilities. We are seeking a motivated and experienced consultative sales consultant to join our dynamic team.
Job Overview:
The Sr Fixed Ops Specialist will be responsible for developing relationships with automotive dealership operators, development teams, and decision makers to understand their unique needs and provide custom-tailored solutions in facility design and equipment selection. This role includes outstanding relationship development, travel to client locations, collaborative project planning, and on-the-job training to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the most modern automotive facility design, as well as the components that support automotive fixed operations. (*ACE) Experience in automotive, architecture, general contracting (construction), and/or engineering are suggested. Consultative sales and business development / client management are required.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility design and proposal buildout, quality assurance, plan reviews.
Strategically build In-Person meetings as well as conduct Teams meetings with high-level leaders and project developers.
Proposal-book buildout, proposal formation (excel), mixed work load with both physical product sales and knowledge to introduce DSD SAAS platform.
Build and maintain strong relationships with automotive dealer clients.
Understand business development and how to leverage DSD internal BD team while maintaining and growing your own client relationships.
Conduct needs assessments to identify opportunities for design and consultative support.
Present design solutions tailored to meet client objectives and enhance service and parts performance and ROI.
Provide exceptional service throughout the sales process, from initial consultation to project completion.
Collaborate with internal teams to create innovative design strategies and layouts – creativity and drive are fundamental.
Travel to client locations for in-person consultations and presentations.
Participate in on-the-job training sessions to develop product knowledge and consultative selling skills.
Meet and exceed sales targets while maintaining high standards of client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Prior Experience in Architecture, Construction, Engineering, and/or Automotive Industries
Ambitious, and driven to be a fast-paced learner and contributor.
Self-lead and motivated to lead others to produce excellence
Competence in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Calendars and Schedule Management.
Previous experience in sales, particularly consultative sales, is highly desirable.
Familiarity with design concepts and an ability to communicate design ideas effectively. Interest in this space is acceptable if inexperienced.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to travel whenever necessary and work in diverse environments.
Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects during pre-construction planning.
Willingness to travel up to 30%+
Must be authorized to work in US
Must be able to successfully pass a background check
