At Canfield Buildings, we are looking for a
full- or part-time Construction Estimator
to join our estimating team in Waukesha, WI. This is an in-office position! This role is perfect for a detail-driven estimator or a semi-retired contractor/tradesperson looking for a flexible opportunity.

Schedule We understand that flexibility is important, which is why we are open to both full-time (40 hours per week) and part-time (24 hours per week) schedules. Whether you want to stay fully engaged in the industry or prefer a reduced workload, we’ll work with you to find the right fit.
Responsibilities As a full- or part-time Construction Estimator, you will dive into the details of post-frame building projects, carefully analyzing materials, labor, and subcontractor costs to create accurate estimates. You will use Excel spreadsheets to organize data and ensure precision in every calculation. Maintaining up-to-date material costs in Construction Maestro will be key to keeping our bids competitive. You will assist the Project Manager with the pre‑construction process, ensuring projects start smoothly. When needed, you will generate detailed material lists for the crew, helping them stay prepared on site.
Requirements
Experience in construction estimating, preferably in post‑frame buildings
Ability to pass a pre-interview math test
Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets for cost analysis and estimates
Knowledge of Construction Maestro or willingness to learn
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cost calculations
Field experience is preferred but not required.
