Position Summary In this position as BIPP (Battering Intervention & Prevention Program) Facilitator, you will lead evidence-based psycho-educational groups for men and women who have perpetrated domestic violence, providing the intervention, accountability, and skill-building necessary to stop abusive behavior and create safer families. You'll facilitate group sessions using The Family Place's approved curriculum, challenging abusive patterns while teaching conflict resolution skills, empathy development, and personal responsibility. Conduct comprehensive assessments and client orientations, monitor client progress and compliance with court-ordered requirements, and coordinate closely with the criminal justice system, child protective services, and partner advocates to enhance survivor safety. You'll maintain firm accountability while coaching behavior change, provide referrals to support services, ensure program compliance with CJAD‑TCFV standards, and contribute to ongoing program development through continuous learning and peer collaboration.

Key Responsibilities Group Facilitation & Direct Services

Facilitate psycho-educational group sessions for male and female perpetrators using The Family Place's approved curriculum.

Lead groups that challenge abusive behavior, build accountability, teach conflict resolution skills, and develop empathy.

Conduct client intakes, assessments, orientations, and exit sessions.

Ensure clients are building competency in curriculum skills through effective communication, coaching, and feedback.

Refer clients for additional support services when clinical or safety needs are identified.

Screen and respond to telephone inquiries about the BIPP program.

Enroll clients into orientation and group sessions, ensuring accurate intake and scheduling.

Protect the confidentiality and integrity of the client's personal information.

Client Accountability & Progress Monitoring

Maintain accurate group attendance rosters, participation records, and client progress documentation.

Administer surveys and evaluations to support data collection requirements for funding agencies, when necessary.

Prepare timely progress reports and statistical information for program evaluation and funder compliance.

Monitor client compliance with court-ordered or mandated program requirements.

Criminal Justice & System Coordination

Interface with representatives from legal/criminal justice partners, child protective services, and other referral sources as required for program effectiveness.

Provide accurate group data updates, attendance reports, and progress information to referral sources.

Coordinate treatment and accountability measures with legal system partners to ensure program effectiveness.

Resource Coordination & Referrals

Provide appropriate referrals to address clients' underlying needs (mental health, housing, employment, etc.)

Stay current on community partnerships and referral options available through the BIPP program.

Connect clients to services that support long‑term behavior change and stability.

Program Development & Continuous Learning

Participate in ongoing BIPP practice, training sessions, and peer review to stay current with curriculum updates and best practices.

Contribute to program development by providing feedback to the Program Director and Sr. Director.

Maintain a minimum of 20 hours of continuing education annually as required by CJAD‑TCFV BIPP guidelines.

Professional Collaboration & Engagement

Attend staff meetings, group supervision, and individual supervision sessions as required.

Participate in public education presentations and community speaking engagements about domestic violence and batterer intervention.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members across The Family Place programs.

Other Duties Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
