Review, analyze, and underwrite indirect auto loan requests submitted by new franchise auto dealers within established timeframes.
Use sound judgment and deep knowledge of credit to make lending decisions in accordance with Mission Fed’s policies and procedures.
Build and maintain strong relationships with auto dealerships, supporting them with rate sheets, program education, and timely follow-up.
Demonstrate expertise in credit report review, income analysis, and file documentation.
Proactively support internal teams and dealer partners to ensure seamless funding and exceptional member service.
This is a full-time, in-office position and a great opportunity to really have an impact at a well-respected and established community focused credit union in San Diego County.
Here is what we are seeking:
Associate degree or equivalent is required (two years of relevant experience can substitute for every one year of education).
Minimum three years of indirect lending experience in financial services required. Strong underwriting skills, auto industry knowledge, and familiarity with lending systems a must.
Must have reliable transportation for business travel purposes. A valid driver’s license and insurance—or alternative transportation—is required.
Skills That’ll Make You a Great Fit:
Strong teamwork, analytical, and communication skills.
Proficient in reading and interpreting credit reports (especially Experian).
Able to work professionally with dealership personnel and internal teams.
Comfortable navigating systems such as Microsoft Office, Symitar, and MeridianLink LOS.
