Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Registered Nurse (RN) Branch Director, based in the Des Moines Metropolitan Area. The RN Branch Director will oversee the daily operations of the hospice branch, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and provide leadership to the interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include supervising clinical staff, coordinating patient care, managing budgets and resources, ensuring quality outcomes, and serving as a liaison between patients, families, and the hospice team. The role requires exceptional organizational, communication, and clinical skills to maintain the highest standard of care and service delivery.
Qualifications
Clinical expertise in nursing, with experience in hospice or palliative care settings Strong leadership and staff management skills, including team coordination and supervision Knowledge of hospice regulations, compliance standards, and CMS guidelines Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to connect effectively with patients, families, and staff Proficiency in healthcare documentation and reporting systems Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred Experience with budget management and resource allocation is a plus Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care
