UX/UI Designer (Manager)
Location: Hoboken, NJPosition: UX/UI Designer (Manager) – Government and Public Sector
Help clients in the public and/or private sector achieve their business objectives by delivering improved public services and technology-enabled transformation. Leverage web development techniques to create responsive, user‑friendly interfaces and rich applications. Lead design discussions and collaborate with team members and stakeholders to produce elegant, effective user experiences.
Responsibilities
- Create schematic wireframes, high‑fidelity mock‑ups, and iterative prototypes to ensure optimal user experience.
- Conduct user and stakeholder research, translating findings into experience maps, navigation models, wireframes, and prototypes.
- Identify design problems, devise elegant solutions, and make strategic design and user‑experience decisions.
- Rapidly test and iterate designs to refine user interaction.
- Manage and motivate multidisciplinary teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds.
- Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Identify and cultivate business development opportunities for the firm.
- Demonstrate in‑depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge related to design and technology.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Human‑Computer Interaction, Design, or related field with at least 5 years of progressive, post‑baccalaureate experience, or a Master’s degree with 4 years of experience.
- Minimum 4 years of experience working at a consulting firm and/or customer experience practice in a multinational firm.
- Minimum 3 years of media management and/or digital creative experience in a client‑facing role.
- Minimum 3 years designing complex solutions for complete digital environments.
- Minimum 3 years with user‑centered design and testing methodologies, including usability heuristics and inclusive design.
- Minimum 3 years using design and prototyping software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, InVision, UXPin, or similar.
- Minimum 3 years of written and oral presentations to client stakeholders.
- Minimum 3 years working with web design best practices, usability patterns, and latest UI/UX trends.
- Minimum 1 year of project management experience for client engagements.
- Domestic travel up to 30% of the time.
- Combination of education, training, or experience may be considered in lieu of some requirements.
