The EUC Architect will serve as a hands-on technical leader, partnering closely with Infrastructure & IT Operations, Cybersecurity, Service Desk, and Enterprise Architecture teams to deliver reliable, secure, and user-centric computing services. This role will also support carve-outs, integrations, and future M&A activity by enabling repeatable, secure, and well-governed end-user platforms aligned with Wealthspire’s Microsoft-first strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • End User Computing Architecture & Engineering: Design, implement, and maintain EUC architecture covering endpoints, virtual desktops, application delivery, and user profiles
  • Architect and manage endpoint platforms using Microsoft Intune, Windows, macOS, and mobile device management solutions

  • Define standards for device provisioning, configuration, patching, automation, and lifecycle management
  • Support virtual desktop and remote access technologies (e.g., Azure Virtual Desktop or equivalent)
  • Reliability, Operations & Automation: Ensure availability, performance, and scalability of end-user platforms
  • Implement monitoring, reporting, and proactive remediation for endpoint health and user experience
  • Drive automation, standardization, and lifecycle management across devices and user environments using scripting, policy-driven management, and self-service capabilities
  • Serve as a senior technical escalation point for complex EUC-related issues
  • Partner with IT Operations and Service Desk teams to ensure consistent, high-quality end-user experiences and mature incident, change, and configuration management processes
  • Participate in day-to-day technology operations
  • Carve-Out & M&A Support: Lead and execute EUC-related activities for carve-outs, tenant separations, acquisitions, divestitures, and integrations
  • Develop repeatable playbooks for device migrations, user onboarding/offboarding, and application transitions
  • Ensure minimal disruption, strong security posture, and audit readiness during transitional events
  • Security, Compliance & Governance: Collaborate with Cybersecurity and Compliance teams on endpoint security, device compliance, identity integration, and data protection
  • Support regulatory and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, SEC, NYDFS)
  • Enforce secure-by-design EUC standards and continuous compliance monitoring
  • Vendor & Platform Enablement: Manage vendor relationships and partner with Microsoft, OEMs, MSPs, and software vendors to optimize EUC platforms and costs
  • Evaluate new EUC technologies and roadmap features for business applicability
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across infrastructure and operations

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure with a strong focus on End User Computing
  • Proven experience architecting and operating enterprise-scale endpoint and EUC environments
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Intune, Windows, endpoint security, and device lifecycle management
  • Experience with virtual desktop and remote access technologies (Azure Virtual Desktop preferred)
  • Exposure to carve-outs, integrations, or M&A activity strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of security, identity, and compliance requirements in regulated environments
  • Ability to balance strategic architecture with hands-on technical execution
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Endpoint Administrator, Azure, EUC-related certs) are a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 20% (Domestic & International)
