Position Details Requires flexibility Monday through Thursday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Friday 8:30 am to 6:30 pm with rotating Saturdays 8:30 am to 1:30 pm.

Job Description The Relationship Banker will primarily focus on product sales and exceptional customer service. The associate develops new customer relationships and strengthens existing relationships by ensuring each customer knows and offers appropriate products and services to meet their existing and future financial needs. The Relationship Banker provides expert product advice, clear and concise directions on using self-service banking solutions, transacts business accurately and provides account servicing and problem resolution per established procedures and regulations. The Relationship Banker is a leveled position, beginning with an entry Level 1 and advancing to Level 3. Additionally, with the successful completion of all three Relationship Banker levels, there could be an opportunity to advance into the Relationship Banker 4 leadership position.
Levels and Progression
Level 1 – Training:
Primary focus on training and development while working with a seasoned mentor. Progression to Level 2 depends on successful completion of all training.
Level 2 – Proficient:
Works independently on routine tasks and with general guidance on complex tasks. Demonstrates superior product knowledge and excellent needs-based selling skills. Upon recommendation of the Branch Manager or Regional Management and demonstrated proficiency, the associate could advance to Level 3.
Level 3 – Advanced:
Demonstrates independent action and high initiative, resolving problems, developing recommendations and determining the course of action on new tasks. Tasks could range from complex to highly specialized. Level 3 also serves as a mentor to Level 1 associates.
Responsibilities
Contribute to achieving branch sales goals through a consultative sales approach with new and existing customers, following the sales process defined in the CFB Retail Sales Playbook. Identify and uncover the customer's financial needs and offer appropriate solutions, referring qualified customers to specialized sales forces.
Proactively make outbound calls to generate sales and strengthen customer relationships or begin new customer relationships.
Identify opportunities to sell consumer loans, accept consumer loan applications and facilitate loan closings. Work effectively with the centralized underwriting department.
Deliver consistent, exceptional customer service by acknowledging customers promptly, greeting, using eye contact, and thanking them. Acknowledge complaints and follow established complaint process.
Open and process simple, moderate, or highly complex deposit accounts.
Answer and assist customers’ questions and concerns, including helping with deposit risk management and day-to-day banking business.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and services, including digital services and delivery options. Support customer usage of products and services to meet their needs conveniently. Keep knowledge of competitors’ products, practices, facilities, and prices to sell bank products effectively.
Participate in branch promotions and marketing initiatives as directed.
Use sound judgment in applying bank standards, policies, and procedures regarding customers.
Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank’s BSA/AML Program. Complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report violations or suspicious activity.

High School Diploma or GED required. Current NMLS SAFE Act Registration or ability to be registered within 30 days required. Demonstrated sales and customer service experience preferred. Financial service provider experience preferred. College degree preferred.

High School Diploma or GED required. Achievement of defined competencies of Level 1 required. Current NMLS SAFE Act Registration or ability to be registered within 30 days required.
Level 3:
High School Diploma or GED required. Successful achievement of defined competencies of Level 2 or relevant related experience required. Current NMLS SAFE Act Registration or ability to be registered within 30 days required.
Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members.
