Status Full-Time

Schedule Days - Monday - Friday with occasional weekends

Job Summary Montello Care Center, a well-established long-term care facility, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Director for our skilled nursing facility to supervise, coordinate, and perform the activities of the maintenance department to ensure the facility and grounds are maintained in good repair and all systems are in compliance with applicable safety and fire regulations and federal, state, and local building codes to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for our staff, residents and visitors. This position also monitors department budgets and approves orders for equipment and supplies and services as authorized by the Facility Administrator.

Your day-to-day might include

Overseeing maintenance of building systems — HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems.

Coordinating vendors, contractors, and repair projects.

Making sure we’re up to date with all safety and health regulations (DHS, CMS, Life Safety Code, OSHA).

Leading and supporting maintenance and housekeeping team members.

Taking part in safety drills, emergency planning, and keeping our residents’ environment in top condition.

Compensation

$21.00 - $26.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Qualifications

Have 3–5 years of maintenance experience (healthcare or long-term care preferred).

Comfortable with building systems, from electrical and plumbing to HVAC and beyond.

Enjoy working with your hands and solving problems on the spot.

Have leadership experience or the desire to grow into a leadership role.

Are organized, safety-minded, and enjoy working as part of a team.

Hold a high school diploma or GED (technical or vocational training a plus).
